I LOVE Glassybaby.  In fact, I am probably almost as addicted to Glassybaby as I am to coffee.  Why?  They are beautiful.  They are handmade, locally.  They are a superior gift to flowers (both giving and receiving).  Many colors benefit charities or nonprofits, making a gift even more personal.

I have my husband to thank.  He got “us” started collecting.  Founder, Lee Rhodes says there are now 400 colors to choose from.  We own a lot, but not THAT many…. yet? Read the rest of this entry »

Tall Tree Tells the Family Tale.

Six Word Story:  Tall tree tells the family tale.

Watching this couple grow into a family and mature is one of the perks of being the family Christmas tree. I may only be up for a month, but the holiday season seems to be a reflection on the state of the marital union and the couple’s life in general. The Garrards are a great couple; seemingly of one mind on most issues, but the truth is I am here because of Alex. Christy has always preferred a live tree but Alex does not care for the extra effort, mess, and expense he claims comes with the fresh variety. She gets what she wants most of the time but she also knows how to pick her battles; so here I stand 21 years later.
